Commission​

Support the standardization, implementation and improvement of the SIMUS graphic component, in coordination with Colombia's National Cultural Information System (SINIC).

Project​

The Sistema de Información de la Música of Colombia's Ministry of Culture.

Solution​

From three environments —state, market and society— a color palette and the logo geometry were created, inspired by the article What Mathematics Can Learn From Classical Music.

SIMUS logo geometry: Lydian scale intervals traced over the logo, and three colored spheres labeled State, market and society.
SIMUS logo applications: a minimal monochrome version and a full-color version on white.
SIMUS color palette: five primaries (purple, blue, teal, yellow and red) and five secondary grays, white and black, with their codes.
SIMUS color totem: overlapping circles arranging the colors by high, medium and low contrast.
The SIMUS logo on the website: a full-color version over a photo of a clarinet and a minimal white version over a photo of a drum.

Logo and color palette creation, and implementation and improvement of the user interface.
